Control, Automotive & Robotics Lab (CARL) research team at BUITEMS is a research cluster working on the development of robot-assisted systems to solve pressing problems of Pakistan, particularly Balochistan, using Robotics and cutting edge Artificial Intelligence. The lab consists of qualified Ph.D candidates, industry researchers, and experts that work on achieving optimal solutions for critical localized problems. Our main goal is to provide efficient solutions for design and implementation of BIO-Inspired Snake Robot with evolved movement Gaits as well as a social mobile autonomous robot that can operate in real-world environments. One of the key outcomes for the lab is to provide a complete and generic autonomous robot kit consisting of machine learning, machine vision, collision detection, and avoidance modules. CARL is one of the 11 labs under the National Center of Robotics & Automation (NCRA).
CARL aims to solve pressing problems of Pakistan using Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
BUITEMS AI & Robotics Research team has been working on Evolutionary Robotics, Artificially Intelligent Robotics, Deep Learning, Search & Rescue Robotics, Social Robotics, Textile based Robotic Sensors, Data Mining & Analytics.
